Our method

We have embarked upon a simple journey of informing every party of our intent to hold them accountable via a formal legal notice that can be generated and served with minimal legal cost starting with the landowner whom we understand has to sign a very onerous contract where it appears that many liabilities are shifted from the NBN sponsors and contractors to the land owner.

It is our view that to mitigate the risk via renegotiating the conditions or acquiring the level of insurance that covers the stated risk to children would render the $6,000 - $9,000 per year income to be not profitable or at least very risky.

Our stance towards landowners is intended to be supportive in so much that we inform them of the potential risk in the future that the NBN may not advise them on and is not required to do so, plus provide the information that would assist them in discussion with a specialist legal advisor and/or insurance broker.

We then address the planning process by serving notices upon the relevant council organisations, planning officer and CEO. We provide additional evidence of the alleged behaviour of the various NBN representatives and those contracted to act in this process as well as community liaison. Again the intent here is to encourage greater compliance where, for example, the full impact of the proposed towers are fully factored into any compliance processes.

The main two contractors, their own subcontractors as well as the departments of Finance and Telecommunications along with some key officers and politicians, including the local MP, are also served notices.
